Apple has begun testing the next round of software updates, seeding the first developer betas of iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 just days after the public release of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2.

Developers enrolled in Apple’s beta program can download the new builds directly from the Settings app by heading to General > Software Update on a compatible iPhone or iPad.

One expected change is the joint Apple and Google effort aimed at making the switch between iOS and Android simpler and more seamless. How does it work? Find out here: How to Switch From iPhone to Android Using iOS 26.3.

So far, Apple hasn’t disclosed what else is new in iOS 26.3 or iPadOS 26.3. Given the timing, with testing stretching into the holiday period, these updates are widely expected to focus on bug fixes, stability, and performance improvements, rather than introducing headline features.

That would be consistent with Apple’s usual update cadence, where point releases following feature-heavy updates are often used to clean up lingering issues and improve overall reliability across supported devices.

As always, details about specific changes tend to surface once developers dig into the beta builds. If any notable fixes or under-the-hood improvements are discovered, Apple is likely to document them in updated release notes, or they’ll emerge through testing.

At the moment, iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 are limited to developers, but a public beta is expected to follow soon, potentially within the next few days.
