Apple has officially launched the new iPad Pro powered by the M5 chip, bringing faster performance, improved AI power, and better connectivity to its sleekest tablet yet.
The update also introduces Apple’s own C1X modem for faster cellular speeds and greater efficiency.
M5 Chip: Smarter, Faster, More Capable
The M5 chip is at the heart of the new iPad Pro, delivering major performance gains over the previous M4 model. Here’s what’s new:
- 15% faster CPU performance for smoother multitasking and app performance
- Up to 45% faster graphics with updated GPU cores
- 3.5x faster AI performance thanks to Neural Accelerators in each GPU core
- 30% higher memory bandwidth, now up to 153 GB/s
These upgrades mean faster app launches, quicker exports, and better handling of AI-driven tools like image editing, video rendering, and creative apps.
C1X Modem Brings Faster Cellular Speeds
For the first time, Apple has replaced Qualcomm’s modem with its own C1X modem in the cellular models. It offers:
- Up to 50% faster cellular speeds
- Up to 30% better power efficiency
- More reliable performance on the go
The new iPad Pro also includes the Apple N1 chip, which manages WiFi, Bluetooth, and Thread connections for improved wireless performance.
