Apple has officially unveiled the new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the all-new M5 chip, marking what the company calls the “next big leap in AI for the Mac.”
With up to 3.5x faster AI performance compared to the M4, this model focuses on speed, power, and smarter workflows for both professionals and everyday users.
Smarter Power, Faster Performance
The M5 chip introduces a next-generation 10-core GPU with a Neural Accelerator in each core, making it up to 1.6x faster in graphics performance for creative apps and games. The 10-core CPU also delivers 20% faster multithreaded performance, ensuring smoother multitasking and quicker processing.

Apple has also doubled SSD performance, allowing lightning-fast file transfers and exports. Storage capacity now goes up to 4TB, while memory bandwidth jumps to 153GB/s, an upgrade from the M4’s 120GB/s.
Built for AI and Efficiency
The M5 chip isn’t just about speed, it’s about intelligence. With enhanced Neural Engine capabilities, it can handle on-device AI tasks like Apple Intelligence and large language models more efficiently than ever. Battery life still leads the class, with up to 24 hours of use on a single charge.
Same Design, More Power
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro retains its Liquid Retina XDR display, six-speaker system, and 12MP Center Stage camera. It comes in Space Black and Silver, starting at $1,599, and is available to order now.
The 16-inch version and higher-end M5 Pro and M5 Max chips are expected in early 2026, but for now, the M5 MacBook Pro sets a new standard for AI-powered computing on the Mac.
