Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is “making good progress” on personalized Siri features set to launch in 2026, as part of its broader push into AI with Apple Intelligence.

Apple ‘Making Good Progress’ on Personalized Siri Features

During Apple’s Q3 2025 earnings call, Cook reiterated the company’s commitment to improving Siri’s intelligence and personalization, highlighting that the next-generation features are still on schedule.

“We’re making good progress on a more personalized Siri,” said Cook. “As we’ve said before, we expect to release these features next year.”

Cook also made similar comments to Reuters in an interview saying that the company is “making good progress on a personalized Siri.” However, no launch window was mentioned.

This update follows the initial announcement of Apple Intelligence and Siri enhancements at WWDC 2024, where Apple outlined a vision for a more proactive, context-aware Siri, one that understands your personal context, responds intelligently to what’s on-screen, and works more closely with individual apps like Mail and Messages.

Apple has been struggling to get Apple Intelligence competing with the competition, but 2026 could be the redemption Apple has been waiting for.

What’s Coming with Personalized Siri in iOS 18 and Beyond?

Some of the upcoming features include:

  • Personal context awareness: Siri will be able to answer questions like, “What time is Mom’s flight?” by referencing information in your emails or texts.
  • On-screen awareness: Siri will better understand what you’re viewing and offer more relevant actions.
  • App-specific intelligence: Expect smarter, task-based control inside apps—like editing a photo or setting a reminder—via voice commands.

The Bigger Picture: Apple Intelligence at Work

These personalized Siri features are just one part of Apple’s growing Apple Intelligence ecosystem, designed to compete with rivals like Google Gemini and ChatGPT. While the features were originally expected in iOS 18, Apple announced in March that they would roll out later, now officially pegged for 2026.
