Apple has released the third public betas of iOS 18.6, iPadOS 18.6, and macOS Sequoia 15.6, focusing on bug fixes and EU App Store changes. Here’s how to download.
The release comes just a day after Apple dropped developer beta 3 of iOS 18.6, iPadOS 18.6 and macOS 15.6.
How to Download the Public Betas
If you’re enrolled in Apple’s public beta program, you can download the updates directly:
- On iPhone or iPad:
Settings > General > Software Update - On Mac:
System Settings > General > Software Update
You’ll need to be using a supported device and have the beta option enabled.
What’s New in iOS 18.6 and macOS Sequoia 15.6?
So far, no major new features have surfaced in iOS 18.6 or macOS 15.6. Apple is expected to focus on:
- Bug fixes
- Performance improvements
- Security patches
That said, iOS 18.6 is expected to bring some App Store changes in the European Union as Apple continues to adapt to evolving regulations.
macOS Sequoia 15.6 doesn’t appear to introduce new user-facing features either, but is part of Apple’s ongoing refinement of the Mac experience ahead of the larger macOS 26 Tahoe release later this year.
Also in Beta: iOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26
Apple is concurrently testing iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 (Tahoe) with developers. Public betas for those are expected to launch soon.
