Thinner, Faster, Smarter – Meet the Sleek New Galaxy S25 Edge
After teasing it earlier this year at Unpacked 2025, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, and it’s making headlines for one big reason: how ridiculously thin it is.
At just 5.8mm thick, it’s not only slimmer than the standard S25 (by 1.4mm) but also the thinnest Galaxy phone Samsung has ever made. That’s wafer-thin territory.
Packed with Power Despite the Slim Profile
Don’t let the size fool you, the S25 Edge is no slouch in the performance department. Like the rest of the S25 lineup, it’s powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, which brings:
- A 45% performance boost
- 44% better power efficiency over the S24’s Gen 3 chip
- A new Adreno GPU that delivers 40% faster graphics
You’ll also get 12GB of RAM and your choice of 256GB or 512GB of storage. Plenty of muscle under that skinny frame.
A Stunning Display and Impressive Cameras
On the front is a gorgeous 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a QHD+ resolution (3120 x 1440) and adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Biometric security is handled via an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Around back, Samsung flexes its camera chops with a dual setup:
- 200MP wide lens
- 12MP ultra-wide lens
- 10x periscope optical zoom — no digital cropping nonsense here
Trade-Offs? Just One
To get that thin profile, Samsung had to shrink the battery to 3,900mAh. This is smaller than its S25 siblings, but with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, you’re not stuck for long.
And yes, it runs Galaxy AI: Expect all the smart features like Note Assist, Live Translate, Now Brief, and deep Gemini integration.
Pricing & Availability
The Galaxy S25 Edge comes in Titanium Black, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Silver, available soon from Samsung and major retailers. Prices start at $1,099.99 for the 256GB model, and $1,219.99 for the 512GB unit.
Samsung though is currently promoting the 512GB model at $1,099.99 if you pre-order right now. The phone will be shipping out starting May 30.
