Apple has released public beta 1 for several upcoming software updates, including watchOS, tvOS, and HomePod.

These public betas arrive one day after the corresponding developer builds. Here’s what’s included in the latest rollout.

watchOS 26.4 public beta 1

Public testers can now install watchOS 26.4 beta 1. So far, the update appears light on major new features, continuing the refinement-focused cycle seen in recent point releases.

tvOS 26.4 public beta 1

tvOS 26.4 public beta 1 is also now available. As with watchOS, this update does not introduce major visible changes in its first beta, suggesting stability improvements and under-the-hood enhancements.

HomePod 26.4 public beta 1

Apple has also released HomePod 26.4 public beta 1 for users enrolled in the beta program. The update follows yesterday’s developer seed and appears focused on performance and system refinements.

visionOS 26.4 public beta 1 not available

The notable absence in this wave is visionOS 26.4. Apple still does not offer a public beta program for Apple Vision Pro users, so visionOS updates remain limited to developers.

How to install the public betas

If you are enrolled in Apple’s Beta Software Program, you can install these updates by going to the Software Update section on each device.

Enrollment is free through Apple’s beta website. As always, installing beta software on a secondary device is recommended.
