The TechWoven rumor mill isn’t slowing down. After reports that Apple is ditching its short-lived FineWoven cases for a tougher fabric, we now have a better look at what might replace them. Leaker Majin Bu has shared new images that show off the color lineup and button design of the upcoming iPhone 17 TechWoven cases.
Five Colors to Match the iPhone 17

According to the leak, Apple is preparing five color options:
- Orange
- Purple
- Green
- Blue
- Gray
These shades line up neatly with the colors rumored for the iPhone 17 itself, suggesting Apple wants that matchy-matchy aesthetic across devices and accessories.
Details Beyond the Fabric

The photos also give us our first real close-up of the details:
- Metallic side buttons with improved tactile feedback
- Two lanyard holes, one on each side (though not seen in the photos)
- MagSafe compatibility
- A cutout for the Camera Control button expected this year
This is a noticeable upgrade over FineWoven’s mushy feel, which was one of the bigger complaints last time around.
Durability Still a Question
It’s not all perfect. Some of the leaked units, particularly the blue and black cases, already show tiny dings on the corners. That immediately raises questions about whether TechWoven can truly outlast FineWoven, which quickly developed wear and tear in the real world.
For now, Apple fans should treat these leaks as an early taste of what’s likely to come in September. If TechWoven really does deliver better durability and a sleeker, more technical feel, it might finally be the fabric case Apple users can trust. But those little scuffs? They’re not exactly inspiring confidence just yet.
