Apple has released iOS 18.7.1, the latest update for iPhone owners who haven’t made the jump to iOS 26 yet.
While it’s a smaller release compared to iOS 26.0.1, it still comes with important security improvements that Apple recommends for all users.
The update focuses primarily on fixing a vulnerability in FontParser.
According to Apple’s security notes, processing a maliciously crafted font could previously cause apps to crash or even corrupt process memory. With iOS 18.7.1, Apple has addressed the issue by improving bounds checking.
Aside from this fix, Apple hasn’t highlighted any additional changes in the update. But as always, there could be smaller tweaks or behind-the-scenes fixes included as well.
If you’re still running iOS 18, this update is worth installing right away. You can check for it by heading to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone.
