Apple’s latest iOS 18.5 final update, is officially out, and while it brings some fun new features, it also quietly patches over 30 security vulnerabilities under the hood. If you needed a reason to hit that update button, this is it.

What’s Been Fixed?

Apple updated its security update site after the release, revealing the scope of these fixes.

The list includes vulnerabilities in Bluetooth, FaceTime, Call History, CoreAudio, and even AppleJPEG. Thankfully, Apple says there’s no evidence any of these bugs were actively exploited in the wild, but still, better safe than sorry.

One particularly interesting fix is for the iPhone 16e, which just launched with Apple’s new in-house modem chip, the C1. This update addresses a baseband vulnerability that could allow an attacker on a privileged network to intercept traffic.

For anyone keeping score: the modem is arguably one of the most sensitive parts of a phone when it comes to connectivity and security, so it’s a big deal that Apple’s already ironing out kinks in its first-gen modem here.

So yeah, basically everything got a patch. Whether you’re team iPhone, Mac, Watch, or even Apple TV, it’s update o’clock.
