Apple Sports’ latest version 3.7 update expand the app in big way, especially if you follow golf or international soccer. And based on what’s already showing up behind the scenes, Apple isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Apple Sports now supports PGA and LPGA golf

The headline addition in Apple Sports 3.7 is full support for men’s and women’s professional golf, including every official PGA Tour and LPGA Tour event.

That means golf fans can now follow tournaments the same way they track NBA or Premier League scores.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Live leaderboards for all PGA and LPGA tournaments
  • Round-by-round scorecards for every golfer
  • Hole-by-hole results for favorite players
  • Real-time updates in the app, widgets, and Live Activities
  • Coverage of major tournaments, starting this weekend with the WM Phoenix Open

It’s a pretty complete setup, and honestly, a nice fit for the Apple Sports “quick glance” style.

Soccer coverage is getting deeper too

Apple is also continuing to broaden its soccer lineup, adding support for several major European cup competitions, including:

  • Copa del Rey
  • Coppa Italia
  • Coupe de France
  • DFB-Pokal

So if your weekends involve bouncing between league matches and cup fixtures, Apple Sports is becoming a lot more useful.

Tennis updates are now more real-time

Tennis fans get a smaller but welcome upgrade as well, with Apple Sports now offering real-time stats, making match tracking feel more live and less delayed.

Even more leagues are coming in the next update

Here’s the fun part: Apple’s work clearly isn’t done.

MacRumors spotted backend code suggesting that version 3.8 will add support for six South American soccer leagues, including:

  • Brazil Serie A
  • Argentina Primera A
  • Colombia Primera Liga
  • Ecuador Serie A
  • Peru Primera Division
  • Chile Primera Division

If that rollout happens soon, Apple Sports could become a much more global scoreboard app, not just a Europe-and-U.S.-focused one.

Apple Sports keeps growing quietly

Apple Sports launched in 2024 as a simple way to check live scores without the clutter of traditional sports apps.

It’s currently available on iPhone in regions including:

  • U.S., UK, Canada
  • France, Germany, Italy, Spain
  • Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark
  • And select other European countries

With golf now onboard and more soccer leagues in the pipeline, Apple Sports is starting to feel less like a side project and more like a serious long-term play.
