Apple’s iconic Ginza store in Tokyo is officially reopening on Friday, September 26, at 10 a.m. local time.
The store returns to its original corner in the Sayegusa Building after a complete rebuild, bringing a four-story modern design and a few surprises for customers.
A Fresh Look for an Iconic Store
First opened in 2003, Apple Ginza was Apple’s first retail store outside the U.S., and it quickly became a landmark in Tokyo’s busy shopping district. After moving to a temporary space during reconstruction in 2022, the store is now back with:
- Four redesigned floors with open, airy architecture.
- A dedicated Apple Pickup station for online orders.
- An updated Genius Bar with seating at multiple heights for better accessibility.
- Today at Apple sessions to explore creativity with Apple products.
- A special demo area for Apple Vision Pro.
Exclusive Wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, and Mac
To celebrate the reopening, Apple has also released special wallpapers inspired by the Ginza store’s refreshed look.
