Apple has released the eighth developer betas of watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26, arriving just a week after beta 7.
With fall fast approaching, these updates are looking more like the near-final builds Apple will ship to everyone later this year.
What’s New in the Latest Betas
The updates can be installed directly from the Settings app on supported devices, though a developer account is required.
- watchOS 26 continues refining its big additions: the Liquid Glass-inspired design language, the new AI-powered Workout Buddy, and the more context-aware Smart Stack. The Notes app is now on your wrist, and Live Translation support is baked in, making it a practical upgrade for travelers.
- tvOS 26 doesn’t get as many flashy changes, but its iPhone karaoke mode, improved AirPlay speaker integration, and new Aerial screen savers give Apple TV some nice quality-of-life updates. Faster app logins through Apple Account syncing are also part of the package.
- visionOS 26 is pushing forward on the spatial widgets front, giving users more ways to customize their immersive environments. Apple is also fine-tuning personas for a more lifelike presence in calls, and adding tools for shared spatial experiences between Vision Pro users.
Looking Ahead
At this stage, Apple is mainly focused on performance, bug fixes, and last-minute polish. The public will see these features roll out this fall alongside iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe 26. Developers should continue testing app compatibility to make sure everything runs smoothly on day one.
