A new leak reveals potential color options for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, including black, gray, silver, dark blue, and orange. Here’s what to expect.
iPhone 17 Pro Could Include a New Dark Blue and Orange Color Option
A fresh leak has revealed what could be five brand-new color options for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, potentially more than we’ve seen in recent years.
The source? Trusted leaker Sonny Dickson, who shared images of camera lens covers reportedly intended for the iPhone 17 Pro models. The parts were posted on X and show off lens rings in the following finishes:
- Black
- Gray
- Silver
- Dark Blue
- Orange
Yes, that’s five iPhone 17 Pro colors, not the usual four. This could suggest Apple plans to expand the color lineup for its Pro iPhones this year.

What These iPhone 17 Pro Colors Might Mean
The orange variant might actually be a new take on gold, possibly a copper-toned finish. Meanwhile, dark blue seems like a throwback to the iPhone 15 Pro’s blue titanium.
Rumors also suggest Apple is shifting from full titanium to a titanium-aluminum hybrid build, which might allow for more vibrant finishes and lighter Pro models. However, analyst Jeff Pu reports that this titanium-aluminum hybrid material will be exclusive to the iPhone 17 Air, with the Pro models sticking to aluminum… yes, you read that right.
With the base iPhone 17 expected in more playful colors, and the iPhone 17 Air keeps it more basic, Apple looks set to continue its strategy of reserving darker, more refined finishes for the Pro line. We’ll know more about this in about two months at Apple’s September event.
