What to Expect at WWDC 2025
WWDC has always been software-first, and this year is no different. Here’s what Apple is widely expected to announce during the keynote and throughout the week:

The Platforms State of the Union will follow the keynote at 1 p.m. PT, offering a more technical look at APIs and tools available in Apple’s latest platforms.
While hardware announcements are rare at WWDC, there’s always a chance Apple might tease something. There’s speculation about ‘homeOS’ that is rumored to be Apple’s smart home OS. Whether Apple announces the rumored Smart Display being powered by homeOS or if it’s just an evolution of the HomePod software and more remains uncertain.
A More Inclusive WWDC Experience
Like previous years, WWDC 2025 will be primarily online, with over 100 developer videos released throughout the week. However, Apple has invited over 1,000 developers and students to attend a special day at Apple Park on June 9.
