New concept renders reveal how Apple’s iOS 26 redesign might look, featuring a stunning “Living Glass” design inspired by visionOS. Check out the preview before WWDC 2025.
Apple’s iOS 26 Redesign for the iPhone May Look Like This, and it’s Stunning
Just days before Apple officially reveals iOS 26 at WWDC 2025, we’ve got a detailed visual preview that might be the best look yet at the upcoming redesign. Designer Sebastiaan de With, known for his work with Lux apps like Halide and Spectre (and also a former Apple designer), has published a concept that shows what he believes iOS 26 could look like. And honestly, it’s impressive.

A “Living Glass” Interface for iPhone
The new concept, called “Living Glass”, imagines Apple creating a user interface that visually matches the glass hardware of the iPhone. The idea is simple but powerful: make the software feel like it’s part of the physical phone itself.

Inspired by visionOS and rumors from reliable sources like Mark Gurman, the concept leans into translucent, layered effects with soft animations, the kind we’ve seen in Apple’s recent marketing materials.

According to de With, the redesign makes it feel like “the glass itself is coming alive.” This matches Apple’s own WWDC tagline this year, which hints at what’s possible “when hardware and software are designed together.”

Why This Concept Feels Realistic

While we’ve seen many wild iOS redesign concepts over the years, this one feels grounded. It uses Apple’s own design language and references actual changes hinted at in iOS 18 code.
The 404 Take
iOS has looked nearly the same for years. A glassy, immersive interface inspired by visionOS could make the iPhone feel fresh again without sacrificing usability. If Apple delivers even half of what this concept imagines, iOS 26 might be the most exciting update in years.
We’ll find out soon enough, the WWDC 2025 keynote kicks off this Monday. Stay tuned.
