Apple’s Big WWDC 2025 Reveal Will Bring a Unified Look to All Devices

Apple is planning a sweeping visual refresh across all its operating systems, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The announcements are expected to headline WWDC 2025, which kicks off on June 9.

iOS 19 and macOS 16 aren’t the only stars of the show, watchOS, tvOS, and even visionOS are all getting new coats of paint. This marks the most extensive visual overhaul Apple has made to its platforms in over a decade, echoing the scale of change last seen with iOS 7.

The goal? Unify the look and feel of Apple’s ecosystem. Expect more use of translucent effects, glassy UI elements, updated navigation structures, and fresh icons. How you end up feeling about that once it’s actually out, is another debate. But, to be honest, a change could feel fresh and less… boring if i may say so.

WWDC’s teaser artwork already hints at this with reflective, layered design motifs pulled from Apple Park’s rainbow stage.

tvOS, which has remained largely unchanged since its launch in 2015, is set to see one of the most dramatic makeovers. Even the relatively new visionOS will get UI tweaks to align better with Apple’s broader aesthetic shift, but these tweaks are expected to be minor as it is largely expected that this aesthetic shift is largely being lead by visionOS.

With all signs pointing to Apple aligning its software around the visual style introduced with the Vision Pro last year, a more cohesive experience across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and beyond is just what was needed.
