A new batch of leaks is offering a clearer picture of what Apple may be planning for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup. The latest reports from well-known Weibo leakers outline possible design tweaks, new dimensions, and key hardware upgrades expected later this year.
While the changes may not be dramatic, they suggest Apple is focusing more on battery capacity and performance improvements than major exterior redesigns.

iPhone 18 Pro Max could get slightly thicker
One of the more concrete details from the leak involves the thickness of the Pro Max model.
According to leaker Ice Universe, the iPhone 18 Pro Max could measure around 8.8mm thick, a very small increase compared to previous generations.

- iPhone 17 Pro Max: 8.75mm
- iPhone 18 Pro Max (rumored): 8.8mm
The difference is minor, but the change could be linked to a larger battery inside the device.

Leaks suggest the Pro Max model could feature a battery around the 5100–5200 mAh range, slightly larger than its predecessor.

Another leak from Digital Chat Station claims Apple could reuse some manufacturing molds from the iPhone 17 Pro for the next generation.
If that ends up happening, the overall shape and structure of the device may remain largely unchanged.
This also introduces some uncertainty around another rumored change: a smaller Dynamic Island.
Earlier reports suggested Apple might shrink the Dynamic Island significantly by moving some Face ID components under the display. But if the company reuses existing molds, that redesign might not happen yet.
