Apple has rolled out the third developer betas of watchOS 26.4, tvOS 26.4, and visionOS 26.4, just one week after beta 2.

These updates are available through the Settings app on each device. A registered (free) developer account is required to install the betas.

Here’s what’s new in each update.

watchOS 26.4 beta 3: new Average Bedtime metric

watchOS 26.4 introduces a new Average Bedtime metric within the Sleep app.

The feature syncs with the Health app and gives users a clearer picture of how consistent bedtimes impact overall sleep quality. For users focused on recovery, sleep cycles, and long-term health trends, this adds another useful data point.

Search interest around “watchOS 26.4 sleep features” and “Apple Watch Average Bedtime” is likely to grow as health tracking continues to be a major Apple Watch selling point.

tvOS 26.4 beta 3: iTunes apps removed, HDMI audio option added

On Apple TV, tvOS 26.4 finally removes the legacy iTunes Movies and iTunes TV Shows apps.

Those apps had already been redirecting users to the Apple TV app for purchases, but this update completes the transition.

tvOS 26.4 also introduces a new Continuous Audio Connection option for HDMI output, which should improve stability for certain home theater setups.

visionOS 26.4 beta 3: foveated streaming support

visionOS 26.4 adds support for foveated streaming in apps and games.

Foveated streaming works by delivering higher-quality visuals to the exact area where a user is looking, while compressing peripheral regions. The result is:

  • Higher visual clarity
  • Reduced latency
  • More efficient bandwidth usage

For developers building spatial apps and immersive games, this is a meaningful performance upgrade.

The third round of 26.4 betas across Apple’s platforms signals that refinement is underway ahead of a public release. Expect public betas soon, followed by a wider release in the coming weeks.
