Apple has released the second developer betas of watchOS 26.4, tvOS 26.4, and visionOS 26.4, just one week after the first beta builds rolled out.

The updates are available through the Settings app on supported devices. As developer betas, installation requires a registered developer account.

Here’s what’s new across each platform so far.

watchOS 26.4: new average bedtime metric

watchOS 26.4 introduces a new Average Bedtime metric within the Sleep features.

The new metric syncs with the Health app and gives users deeper insight into their sleep routines by tracking when they typically go to bed. By analyzing bedtime consistency, users can better understand how scheduling impacts overall sleep quality.

It is a small but meaningful addition for Apple Watch users focused on improving sleep habits.

tvOS 26.4: iTunes apps removed, HDMI audio option added

With tvOS 26.4, Apple has officially removed the legacy iTunes Movies and iTunes TV Shows apps from Apple TV.

These apps had already been effectively deprecated, redirecting users to the Apple TV app for purchases and rentals. Now, Apple is completing the transition by phasing them out entirely.

The update also adds a Continuous Audio Connection option for HDMI output. This feature is designed to maintain a stable audio handshake with connected devices, potentially reducing audio dropouts or reconnection delays.

visionOS 26.4: foveated streaming support

visionOS 26.4 introduces support for foveated streaming in apps and games.

Foveated streaming prioritizes rendering quality in the precise area where a user is looking, while compressing peripheral areas. This approach delivers:

  • Higher visual clarity in the focal region
  • Lower latency
  • Improved overall performance efficiency

For developers building experiences on Apple Vision hardware, this could significantly enhance streaming-based applications and immersive gaming performance.

As always with early beta releases, additional refinements and under-the-hood changes may emerge as developers continue testing.
