Samsung is taking foldables to a whole new place with the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, and honestly, this one feels like a peek into the future.
Instead of the usual single fold, Samsung decided to go for two folds and three screens, which gives you a massive 10 inch display when opened. Fold it up and you get a compact phone with a 6.5 inch cover screen.
A Foldable That Actually Feels Practical

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold uses an inward folding design so the main display stays protected. Samsung says the new folding mechanism is built to be smooth, stable, and easy to open or close. There is even an alert if you try to fold it incorrectly, which is a thoughtful touch for anyone worried about damaging such a unique device.

To keep everything sturdy, Samsung created a titanium Armor FlexHinge that uses two differently sized hinges working with a dual rail structure. Inside the hinge, there is also a thin metal layer to protect the moving parts and improve durability.
Surprisingly Slim for a Triple Screen Device

When the phone is fully opened, one third of the screen is only 3.9mm thick, while the center portion is 4.2mm. The section with the side button sits at 4mm. Samsung added a reinforced overcoat and a shock absorbing display layer to improve resistance, and the aluminum frame helps prevent the screens from touching each other.
The Biggest Battery Samsung Has Ever Put in a Phone
Powering the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is a 5,600 mAh three cell battery. Each display panel has its own battery behind it, and Samsung claims this is their largest battery in any smartphone yet. With so many screens to run, it definitely makes sense.
Cameras for Every Angle
On the back you get a 200 megapixel wide camera, a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera, and a 10 megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. There are also two 10 megapixel selfie cameras, one on the cover display and one inside on the main screen.
A Multitasking Machine

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is built for people who want a mini tablet that still folds into a phone. You can run three portrait sized apps at once, resize windows, watch videos in full screen, and even use the device vertically like an e reader.
Samsung also added standalone Samsung DeX, which gives you up to four workspaces and supports five apps running at the same time. Google’s Gemini Live and Samsung’s own apps have already been optimized for the larger canvas.
Availability
Samsung is rolling out the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold in Korea on December 12. More markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE will follow. The United States will get it in the first quarter of 2026.
Pricing has not been revealed yet, but with this kind of tech, we can guess it will not be cheap.
