Samsung just started warming up the engines for Galaxy Unpacked, and surprise surprise, it’s all about the cameras.
With the Galaxy S26 series expected to launch on February 25, Samsung has dropped three teaser videos hinting at meaningful camera upgrades powered by Galaxy AI. The company doesn’t name the S26 directly, but between the “GalaxyUnpacked” hashtag and references to “the all new Galaxy,” it’s not exactly subtle.
Here’s what Samsung is teasing.
1. AI zoom could be getting a serious boost
The first teaser, titled “Closer,” shows a camera viewfinder zooming in on a dog with striking clarity. The implication is obvious: improved AI-powered zoom.
Samsung has leaned heavily on Space Zoom and computational photography in previous Ultra models, but this teaser suggests further refinement. Expect sharper long-distance shots, possibly with better detail reconstruction using on-device AI.
That said, the fine print matters. The clip includes a disclaimer noting that the image is simulated and contains an AI-generated background with edits. So while the quality looks impressive, real-world results may vary.
Still, an AI zoom upgrade feels very likely, especially for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
2. Low-light video is getting brighter
The second teaser, called “Glow,” focuses on night video. It shows people dancing with sparklers in slow motion, shot in low light.
The tagline says it all:
“It looks dark. It films bright.”
That strongly suggests improved low-light video capture. Possibly better sensor performance, smarter AI exposure balancing, and higher frame rate night recording.
Samsung has traditionally been strong in still photography at night, but video has been more of a mixed bag. If Galaxy AI is stepping in to stabilize, brighten, and preserve detail in dim conditions, that could be a meaningful upgrade.
3. Night videography is a big focus
The third teaser, “Groove,” doubles down on the same theme. A DJ performing in a dark club setting, slow motion, colorful lighting, lots of movement.
The description reads:
“Light up your night.”
It’s clear Samsung wants night video to be a headline feature this year. Between Glow and Groove, low-light video seems to be one of the core pillars of the Galaxy S26 camera system.
Expect:
- Improved dynamic range in dark scenes
- Better noise reduction in video
- Enhanced slow-motion performance in low light
- AI scene optimization tuned specifically for nightlife and concerts
Launch Date and What to Expect
Samsung is widely expected to unveil three devices at Unpacked on February 25:
- Galaxy S26
- Galaxy S26+
- Galaxy S26 Ultra
Hardware changes are rumored to be relatively modest. There’s talk of Qi2 magnetic charging support and a possible new privacy-focused display tech for the Ultra, but nothing radically transformative.
That puts even more weight on AI-driven camera improvements.
If these teasers are anything to go by, Samsung is betting big on Galaxy AI to push zoom and night video performance forward. And in 2026, that might be exactly what sells flagship phones.
We won’t have to wait long to see if the real-world results live up to the teaser hype.
