Parallels Desktop 26 for Mac has officially launched, bringing full support for macOS 26 Tahoe and the Windows 11 2025 (25H2) Update, along with new features aimed at both everyday users and IT admins.

macOS Tahoe + Windows 11 Compatibility

The headline change here is full compatibility with Apple’s upcoming macOS Tahoe. Parallels Desktop 26 ensures that background process changes, setup routines, and Coherence mode work seamlessly with the new OS.

On the Windows side, 25H2 support means you can run Microsoft’s latest update inside a VM without issues. Even better, Windows VMs can now see the actual available disk space on the Mac host, helping prevent slowdowns or freezes during large installations.

Smarter IT + Enterprise Features

For business environments, Parallels Desktop 26 introduces:

  • Centralized admin controls via the Parallels Desktop Enterprise Management Portal.
  • Enforced policies for shared folders, USB access, clipboard sharing, and network modes.
  • Windows Update management inside VMs via Jamf Pro and other MDM solutions.
  • Ready-to-use GitHub scripts for admins to remotely check update status, trigger scans, or push installations.

These updates make Parallels much friendlier for IT teams managing fleets of Macs.

Building on Recent Features

This release continues the momentum from earlier updates that added:

  • Apple Intelligence Writing Tools support
  • x86 emulation preview for legacy apps
  • OBS Camera integration for creators
  • Support for specialized apps like Dragon Medical One

Availability

Parallels Desktop 26 is available now in Standard, Pro, Business, and Enterprise editions. You can purchase, upgrade, or grab a free trial directly from Parallels’ website or authorized resellers.
