iOS 26 arrives September 15 — bringing the sleek Liquid Glass redesign, Wallet upgrades, CarPlay changes, and more.
What’s new in iOS 26?
This update is more than just bug fixes. iOS 26 brings:
- The sleek Liquid Glass redesign across the system
- Major upgrades to Apple Wallet, CarPlay, and Messages
- A bunch of smaller tweaks that make your iPhone feel brand new
If you’ve been on the beta, you already know how different it feels. For everyone else, the wait is almost over.
Which iPhones get iOS 26?
Here’s the full list of supported models:
- All-new iPhone 17 lineup
- iPhone 16 series (including 16e)
- iPhone 15 and 14 series (all models)
- iPhone 13 and 12 (including minis & Pros)
- iPhone 11 series
- iPhone SE (2nd gen and newer)
What’s missing? The iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR—all cut from the iOS 26 list, despite running iOS 18 not long ago. They’ll still get security updates, but not the new features.
