Apple is quietly giving Apple Music a visual glow-up in iOS 26.4, and it’s one of those changes you notice instantly.
With iOS 26.4 beta 1 now live, the Music app introduces a new fullscreen design for albums and playlists, plus built-in concert discovery and a refreshed Profile screen. It’s not a massive overhaul, but it makes the app feel more immersive and a little more alive.
Apple Music gets a fullscreen album redesign in iOS 26.4
The biggest change is how albums and playlists look when you open them.
In iOS 26.4, the track list now adopts a dynamic background color that complements the album artwork. It’s not a direct color match pulled pixel-for-pixel from the cover. Instead, Apple uses a tone that pairs well with the artwork and evokes its vibe.
Dark moody covers feel deeper. Bright pop albums feel warmer. Minimal artwork gets subtle gradients that still keep things clean.
It is very much in line with Apple’s broader Liquid Glass direction, but this feels more tasteful than flashy. The artwork finally influences the entire page in a meaningful way, instead of just sitting at the top like a poster.
It makes browsing feel less static and more intentional.

Concerts Near You built into Apple Music
Another meaningful addition in iOS 26.4 is concert discovery directly inside Apple Music.
Apple says users can now:
“Find shows in your area and tour dates for artists you love right in Apple Music.”
Instead of jumping to third-party apps or social feeds, you can check upcoming shows from within the Music app itself. If Apple executes this well, it could quietly make Apple Music more sticky for fans who actually go to live events.
This is one of those ecosystem plays Apple does best. You listen to the artist, then you discover their tour, all in one place.
Redesigned Profile screen across apps
There is also a refreshed Profile screen inside Apple Music, and it appears across other system apps like Podcasts and TV as well.
The new layout includes easier access to Apple Account shortcuts, such as:
- Adding funds to your account
- Redeeming an Apple gift card
- Redeeming an app code
It feels more unified across Apple’s services, which has been overdue.
A subtle but smart update
iOS 26.4 is shaping up to be more feature-focused than 26.3, and Apple Music’s redesign is one of the first noticeable visual changes.
It is not dramatic. It does not reinvent the app. But it does make albums and playlists feel more immersive, and the concert integration adds actual utility instead of just cosmetics.
