Apple’s iOS 18.6 update fixes 24 security vulnerabilities. Here’s why you should install it now, along with updates for macOS, watchOS, and more.

iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 Patch 24 Security Vulnerabilities on Your iPhone and iPad

Apple’s security support documents confirm that 24 vulnerabilities have been addressed in iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6. While Apple says none of these flaws have been actively exploited in the wild, many of them could potentially be used to leak sensitive information or crash core system components.

Among the notable fixes:

  • A VoiceOver bug that could allow the passcode to be read aloud.
  • Multiple issues related to malicious audio files causing memory corruption.
  • Eight WebKit vulnerabilities that could allow websites to steal sensitive data or crash Safari.

If you’re on an older iPad that can’t update to iPadOS 18.6, iPadOS 17.7.9 is also available with similar security patches.
