Apple has just dropped a new Immersive Video episode for Vision Pro users, and this one’s built for speed.
Titled “Hill Climb,” the latest chapter in Apple’s Adventure series puts you inside a rally car during a record-breaking run at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. All of this in wonderful 8K 3D with Spatial Audio.
Exclusively available through the Apple TV app on Vision Pro, the episode showcases the strengths of Apple’s 180-degree 3D Immersive Video format. The highlight is a hood-mounted camera shot that places you virtually on the front of the car as it rockets up the mountain.
You’ll also get a passenger-seat view and behind-the-scenes narration from professional driver Laura Hayes, who shares what it’s like to race one of the most dangerous hill climbs in the world.
Apple says the Vision Pro’s advanced hardware allows for a level of realism traditional VR headsets can’t match. Hill Climb is the fifth episode in the Adventure series, following titles on highlining, ice diving, free solo climbing, and parkour.
With WWDC 2025 around the corner, Apple is expected to continue pushing Vision Pro-exclusive content like Immersive Video as a key differentiator in the spatial computing space. While Vision Pro remains a niche product due to its $3,499 price tag, content like Hill Climb offers a glimpse of what premium, immersive storytelling can look like.
Hill Climb is now streaming on Vision Pro via the Apple TV app.
