Apple is kicking off 2026 by looking back at a blockbuster 2025 for its services. From the App Store to Apple Music, Apple TV, and Podcasts, the company hit new highs across the board.
App Store Shatters Records
The App Store had over 850 million weekly users worldwide, reaching new peaks in the U.S. during the holiday season. Between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, visits hit record levels, showing just how central Apple’s marketplace has become for apps and games.
Apple Music and Podcasts Reach New Heights
Apple Music had its best year ever, with record listenership and new subscriber growth. Shazam, Apple’s music recognition tool, hit over 1 billion recognitions per month. Apple Podcasts also enjoyed a record-breaking year, seeing growth in listeners, episode plays, and new subscribers.
Apple TV Engagement Soars
Apple TV set a new monthly engagement record in December, with hours watched up 36% year-over-year, thanks to hits like F1: The Movie and Pluribus. This shows that Apple’s original content strategy is paying off, keeping viewers glued to the screen.

Expanding Apple Pay and Tap to Pay
Apple Pay is now available in 89 markets, and Apple says it stopped over $1 billion in fraud globally. Tap to Pay on iPhone is live in 50 markets, making contactless payments easier than ever.
Apple Maps, Fitness+, and More
Apple Maps expanded its Detailed City Experience to new cities like New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco. Apple Fitness+ added 28 more countries and is gearing up for a Japan launch. Apple Arcade introduced over 50 new games, and Apple News remained a top app in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
Apple services continue to be a cornerstone of the company’s ecosystem. Eddy Cue, Apple’s services chief, highlighted that these numbers reflect “the incredible enthusiasm of our customers,” whether they’re downloading an app, streaming shows, or listening to music.
All signs point to 2026 being another big year for Apple services, as the company continues to expand reach, improve features, and keep users engaged across multiple platforms.
