Apple has teamed up with Japanese fashion house ISSEY MIYAKE to launch iPhone Pocket, a limited-edition 3D-knitted accessory designed to carry your iPhone, AirPods, and a few small essentials.
If it looks familiar, that’s because it’s giving iPod Sock nostalgia — but evolved. The iPhone Pocket is essentially a stretchy, ribbed sleeve that fully wraps around your iPhone while keeping the display partially visible through its open-knit texture.

According to ISSEY MIYAKE’s design director Yoshiyuki Miyamae, the concept was inspired by “a piece of cloth” and meant to explore “the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way.” (Fun fact: the brand’s founder was behind Steve Jobs’ iconic black turtleneck.)
Available in Two Styles and Multiple Colors

The iPhone Pocket comes in two strap lengths:
- Short strap – $149.95, available in lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon, and black
- Long strap – $229.95, available in sapphire, cinnamon, and black
Both versions fit any iPhone model, and Apple says they’re designed to mix and match with iPhone colors. You can wear it handheld, tied to a bag, or even across your body — depending on your vibe.
Apple’s Take on the Design

“Apple and ISSEY MIYAKE share a design approach that celebrates craftsmanship, simplicity, and delight,” said Molly Anderson, Apple’s VP of Industrial Design.
“This clever extra pocket exemplifies those ideas and is a natural accompaniment to our products… Its recognizable silhouette offers a beautiful new way to carry your iPhone, AirPods, and favorite everyday items.”
